This is the first work titled Erosion.

I love being in nature — looking at it, touching it. But I'm especially drawn to the way human-made things are slowly worn away by natural forces.

I don't set out to paint that erosion deliberately, yet the image of it lives constantly somewhere deep in my awareness as one source of inspiration.

In this painting, that inspiration felt especially present.
