The ninth work in Geometric Lines — a series finished with straight lines that bring order to the surface.

I usually work on between ten and thirty paintings at once. Each one spends long hours in daily life being looked at — simply gazed at — while I add a little at a time, guided by whatever inspiration rises.

Eventually, among the layers of accumulated action, something appears that wants straight lines added. This painting is one of those.

This work is held in a private collection. It was made as a gift to celebrate a friend's new home.
