It began with a line drawn freely, without intention. While painting and looking, the form started to resemble cockscomb — and from that point, the work followed that image further.

The scattered red dots across the surface are shavings of colored pencil, carried as a suggestion of pollen. Line and particle together, moving the painting toward something organic and plant-like.
