Thread Lines is a series of works completed by covering all or part of the surface with thread-like lines.

This is the twelfth work in the series — and the thirty-sixth made with blue as the dominant color.

Built through repeated cycles of painting and scraping, this work carries many traces of that process across its surface. Over that raw and energetic ground, thread-like horizontal lines were drawn across the entire surface. They are nearly swallowed by the background — and yet they remain, breathing through the work.
